The more it snows, the more I paint it.

I had the chance to bum around town outside during this past storm, and discovered so much that I usually just take for granted and drive right by. There is a great blue heron that lives in a bog behind the cemetery at St. John's church in Westbrook. He was perfectly content tiptoeing across the snow-covered ice, ...so majestic, and very astute. He heard me and sailed off into the sky. I was amazed at how artful and visual his coexisentence is, in every season. Maybe you can spot him hiding out...


Even though the landscape seems like a colorless blight, There are several colors of the winter palette that can be intensified a notch or two as I contemplate an empty canvas. That's inspiration.
